Gaya CAC offers private tutelage at any level of experience—from throwing on the pottery wheel, to hand-building functional or sculptural forms-- expert instructors will guide you to experience and achieve.
Class time runs from 9am-12noon including demonstrations and hands-on practice.
Any works to be fired must be concluded by the end of the class.
Firing fees (including glazing service) will be calculated separately according to the wet weight of items to be fired. (Rp. 120/g)
Glaze color can be selected on the day of the class.
(A minimum two-week completion time should be expected.)

FUNDAMENTALS IN CLAY: Week-long immersions at an introductory level
This course model is designed to offer an intensive dive into the vast world of clay, one field at a time. Each thematically-based week focuses on 5 days (M-F) of hands-on instruction and making. A following +1 day allows participants to return post bisque-firing to experience the glazing portion of the ceramic process. With an expert instructor sharing daily demonstrations and plenty of independent practice time, this is an incredible format to jumpstart an interest in ceramics!
COST: $700 usd includes: five intensive mornings of throwing tuition (M-F), followed by one days of glazing instruction and practicum; access to studio, tools, and equipment 9am-5pm for all class days.
All pieces elected by the participant to be fired will be weighed on the last day of the Clay instruction week, and fee is calculated at the usual rate of Rp120/g

Please make note of the following:
Full payment of tuition is required for reserving your spot
Firing fees will be determined by student on Friday of the first week of class, and must be paid at that time.
Full refund or transfer to another course if canceled prior to 45 days ahead of course start date (insert business day date)
50% refund if canceled prior to 30 days ahead of course start date (insert business day date)
No refund for cancellation within 30 days of start date (insert business day date)
Please register early! Registration is ongoing, on a space-available basis. Students who wait to register may not be able to secure a spot in their preferred class. Some courses may fill up, while others may be canceled due to low enrollment. Early registration also enables Gaya CAC to plan more appropriately.
Occasionally, Gaya CAC must cancel a course due to low enrollment, instructor illness or other unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you if a course for which you have registered has been canceled. Notification of cancellation will normally occur two weeks prior to the beginning of the course but, in rare cases, it may be less. You may then enroll in another course (based on availability) or receive a full refund. Gaya CAC is not responsible for lodging, travel or other arrangement losses incurred as a result of a course cancellation.
